Old Village of Hollókő and its Surroundings
Short description:
Due to its unique and universal significance, Hollókő was the first amont the prospective Hungarian locations along with Budapest to be designated as a World Heritage Site in 1997. The settlement, developed in the 17th and 18th centuries, is a unique example of traditional, single-street settlement structure, traditional architecture and the rural life before the agricultural revolution of the 20th century.
