The presentation will give a taste of the creations submitted by the most successful designers, costume and accessory makers of last year's hungarikum tender, said Zsolt V. Németh, Minister Commissioner for Outstanding National Values of the Ministry of Agriculture, in his opening speech. He stressed that this year's selection is rich. There are remarkable ideas and solutions, a wide range of materials - leather, felt, wicker, straw - and different types of embroidery and weaving. You can see Buso masks, caftan shapes from the conquest period, black ceramics and male egg patterns on the clothes, and the world of Sárköz, Kalotaszeg and Szeged, among others, will be brought to life," he said. He recalled that this is the fifth show organised by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Association of Hungarian Folk Artists, and the large number of visitors showed that there is a need and interest in people today for renewal through folk art - be it crafts, gastronomy, architecture, dance or music - and thus for renewal of our dress culture.
